A good place overall.

It's clean, and a good place overall. But my family member didn't find people to be very sociable. And Encino Terrace didn't introduce him to anyone, which he was a little disappointed in. The staff are very friendly and nice though. There were extra costs he wasn't expecting, and he's still a little confused as to what services he should be getting for what he's paying.... Read more

Bad Experience - Would Not Recommend

We had a bad experience all around. They were extremely understaffed, and administration overpromised the level of care they could provide. The care staff themselves seemed fine, but they just couldn't provide the service and care that was promised. They were supposed to help feed my loved one, and they didn't. They did not listen to us voice our concerns as a medical condition that arose worsened, and we had to call an outside nurse to provide the care they should have provided themselves. When we left, they tried to charge us for services that were not rendered. So be very upfront and clear when you're singing the contract. This was nowhere near what we expected from an Atria community. It's like thinking you're going to a Marriott and you get the Courtyard Marriot instead.

Staff is always courteous, willing to help out verbally or physically. Always helpful with any questions I might have. If no answer is available, they will seek out someone who might know! As far as cleanliness, it is always immaculate to the touch and never fails to impress each and every individuals. High marks to good food and well prepared. Good marks to activity personnel and hired individuals to exhibit and teach enlightened courses throughout the days of the week.

My review of Encino Terrace Senior Living (Atria)

So far our family is very happy with them, they have taken great care of our loved one. In the beginning it was not easy, but now our loved one is extremely happy. She loves the food, and even for her 89th birthday, the staff team through her a birthday party. She also has a very nice room, the staff are very help and just overall excellent to work with.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

My 100 year-old mom has been living at Encino Terrace Senior Living for 1-1/2 years. Before I selected this home, I looked everywhere in this vicinity. I chose Encino Terrace because it was a smaller, home-like atmosphere, where I felt my mom could be well cared for. It has not disappointed. Not only does it feel like a home or hotel, but the staff is AMAZING. They are gentle, kind, professional, and there to help with all needs. Additionally, there are activities in which to participate all day, and 3 meals per day, which is good for socialization. I would recommend Atria Encino Terrace to anyone who is looking for a senior living environment for themselves or a loved one.

Nice place, overall

I have had a very good experience so far with Vintage Encino Hills. I'm pleased with everything they have to offer, and the community itself is nice looking, well kept, and clean. The only real issue I've had is some noise problems with a neighbor, which the staff are always happy to resolve when it comes up, but it would be much nicer if they could figure out a way to keep it from coming up in the first place.

Overall good experience

I haven't been there for over a month now but I would rate it a complete 5 except for the last day that I was there. I had asked one of the med staff if they could send in a CNA to help me get some things from my closet that I wasn't able to get to very well and she said there was no one to help and she was busy. I know that they did an incident report from what resulted but I haven't even attempted to call the administration about it because the med tech person that had been so rude to me I used to consider so considerate and compassionate, up until that point everything was fine. Everything was clean and it didn't smell like a convalescent home or anything like that, the staff, especially Leslie, were very caring, the meals were very well planned, the chefs were just great, I got to know a couple of the residents and they're all very nice and just happy.

They have one of the biggest menu selections and variety at every meal plus an Ice Cream Social Room where you can get sandwiches, fruit, ice cream, popcorn, yogurt, snacks, etc. 24/7. And a salad bar with lunch and dinner. But am concerned about community fees and big price increases in the years to come.

First tour was impressive. Rooms are small but the staff and facility were very nice. Spoke with marketing department about concerns regarding if she could find other residents that she could bond with. He scheduled a 2nd vist during facilities "happy hour" where she will have opportunity to meet some of the facilities more high functioning residents.
