The facility is absolutely incredible. 3 meals a day, they make sure she get to the dining room (Complete with linens, and crystal at every meals.), they get her involved in the activities, she attends church services, she stops and chats with everyone she sees. I cannot tell you how much she has improved after moving her to a place with more stimulation and ensuring she is getting proper nutrition.... Read more

The community is faith based and non-profit. It is a senior sensitive community with great caring people and employees. A wonderful place to live and work.

We did not have a good experience with Bethesda Gardens. After two months we took Mom out of there forfeiting our $2500 deposit. I had expressed my many concerns to the corporate director but received no reassurance that things would change. In fact after our discussion another infraction occurred and I tried to call Bethesda Gardens to talk to someone (it was 8:30 on a Sunday evening) but nobody answered the phone. I called and left a message on the director’s voicemail threatening to call the police to go check on my mother. He called me back immediately and admitted that he too had tried to call on “off hours” before and no one answered. This was not our first experience with a senior living community. We know how they can and should be operated. I would definitely not recommend Bethesda Gardens to any of your clients.

We toured Bethesda Gardens to see if it would be a good fit for our MOM. Very clean and beautiful facility. The apartments are small but suitable for 1 or two people to live in. The hallways are spacious and clean. The place was very quiet when we were there, didn't see a lot of folks walking around. They were having movie and popcorn in the activity/dining room. Big soft comfy chairs, really nice. We saw some maintenance staff, they were cleanly dressed, well groomed and friendly to us. Overall didn't get a homey feel. This is a very large place with long hallways and big spaces. There was no smell that you might associate with an assisted living facility, I would say more like a hotel smell and feel to the place.

I love the mountains settings and the grounds. They have no pictures of the rooms. No residential living, only assisted living.

Disappointed when we arrived as no one was sitting at the front desk to greet us for about 10 minutes. Then we were given a pamphlet with rates, but no one was available to review what the various levels covered. The Directors were not in the office. Rooms are tiny and smell bad. Overall, it seemed like a lonely place.

The care at this community. My grandmother is happy here. The menu is very good and I like knowing that she is pleased with the menu. I like knowing that she is staying active with the activities with the other residents. We would recomnnend this community to other families for great care and the value for a loved one.
