MorningStar's cleanliness, friendliness, care services, staff, meals & dining, activities, and value for the cost are ALL great! What stands out to me the most are the staff and nursing team. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Our family had an in person tour and MorningStar was wonderful, the lady who gave the tour was so informative and welcoming. They had so many different amenities for the residents to take advantage of, it was just a vibrant lively atmosphere. However, our loved ones health was progressively getting worse and we just did not think it would be the best fit for them

We started off on a rocky start, things are getting better but our loved is still there because of the care givers. They are so wonderful, they are very attentive to all of our loved ones needs and on top of everything.

There are a lot of friendly people and friendly staff here. It's a great place to live. It's just a positive environment. They have plenty of activities, things like costume contests, live music, and lots of different events. And the food is delicious.

This community only had rooms that were next to fire dept or next to busy street and would have been to noisy for what was paid. The tour guide also did not know much about the community.

We chose MorningStar because I liked the attitude of the staff members, it is a newer facility, and it is also convenient to my home. The staff are very friendly and they do try really hard. I would recommend to others who are looking.

Our loved one absolutely loves all the meals they are serving. The rooms size is perfect, and just the right fit for her. We would recommend MorningStar community to others. Our only criticism we have which is minor, is it would be nice if they could upgrade their internet. It is extremely slow and very weak.

I would tell others that there has been a lot of staff turnover and they have not been very good about notifying family when that has happened. I have to protectively call to find out for any information as far as visitation goes, so they could improve with their communication skills.

Our experience was excellent, the floor staff on the memory care side was okay, but the staff everywhere else especially the front desk staff was amazing. What made our experience really nice was how easy the made our loved ones transfer. From his previous community to this one, they were very accommodating especially during the pandemic. They were very organized and got us everything that we needed. They coordinated everything, and in regards to that they were fantastic.

Morning Star has an insufficient amount of residents in the memory care unit, which means there are not enough residents there to stimulate our loved one has far as having a relationship with them. We do know COVID has played a role in which they have to space out the residents for safety purposes, but that makes it harder for our loved one to develop relationships with the other residents. We are little unhappy with the house keeping. Every time we come visit it seems like we have to always vacuum. Our loved one spilled cranberry juice on her carpet, we have brought it to their attention but it still has not been cleaned up. The care take is great when she helps out of our loved one, but their is a language barrier. Our loved one is hard of hearing so sometimes it is hard for her to understand her care giver. We also aren't really sure what the difference is between assisted living and memory care. We thought the staff on the memory care side would be more on top of things, but they are not much different from the assisted living side. Also, the food is terrible.

December 30, 2020Thank you for your candor. It’s true, there is not a corner of society that has not been impacted by the pandemic, including our Reflections neighborhood. Essential in our Triple Crown defense against the virus is six-foot distancing. Difficult as that necessity is for all of us, it is even harder on the memory-impaired. Yet for our residents’ safety, we strive to maintain it. Our team has worked heroically in 2020 to fill our home with love and laughter and engagement despite the constraints. Among the ill effects of dementia is the loss of taste. Your mother acknowledges that her palate isn’t what it used to be. Considerate of the circumstances, we did give her the option of taking her meals in the Assisted Living dining room. We proudly train our Reflections team in Lavender Sky, our proprietary philosophy and programming in memory care; evidence of those brand standards can be seen throughout our community for the direct benefit of residents. We wish your family well.
From our understanding the care services and activities they offer are good. We really liked how friendly the people are at this community, especially the front desk workers. The gave us immediate attention and were very thorough with explaining to us what this community had to offer. We were very impressed by that and the overall cleanliness and friendliness of this community. The rooms are very good, and adequate.

I am very impressed with place itself. It is very clean and very friendly. The staff are very careful about what they do and very friendly. He likes the food. I chose this community because I was impressed with the people that interviewed us, it is very beautiful, and it has a christian background which was all very important to us. I would recommend this community to other families.

The staff is professional and caring. Their follow up on my Dad’s situation, before moving into the facility, was excellent along with the communication and organization of all the details. Although my Dad’s medical situation changed, so he did not ultimately move into MorningStar, they continued to genuinely care about his condition and how they could help me get the best solution for his needs. I would highly recommend them to care for your loved one.

My mom has been living at Morning Star about 3 months and overall is satisfied with the facility. Most of the food is good but there are a few things she does not care for and sometimes they run out of the more popular menu items. They do having considerable staff turnover in the dining room among the servers. Communication is pretty good but sometimes you have to go to the executive director to get something done. For example they were suppose to clean the carpet in her suite and it took several requests before it was done. The staff are all very friendly but there is sometimes lack of communication between the staff. The surroundings are very pleasant and modern.

I like this community because they are very supportive to my mom. Staff is very friendly and attentive. It is clean and it's very modern and up to date. THe food seems to be fine, she has options to chose from.The grounds are nice just not enough room for my mom to walk she loves walking. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

My mother was staying at this location under their respite program. She was not there for a long period of time, but while she was there everything was wonderful. The public relations director and the rest of their staff were very communicative and easy to work with. I would go over sometime in the afternoon and speak with them for options if I had chosen their location for mom and I would come back home and find an e-mail with options and offers. They are very proactive and knowledgeable. We have become more involved with their daily activities since they send me emails and invites to events that they’re holding. I was just invited to a Thanksgiving event for next week. The food there is pleasurable and I enjoyed their salads. Every time that I went there everything was very fresh. They have different set menus. One would change daily and another that would never change. They have a great variety of selections from soups, veggies, chicken fingers, sandwiches, etc. They also have an extensive selection of beverages, they place snacks out during the day like popcorn or bowls of fruit, and a juice & coffee dispenser. The other residents that are there seem very friendly as well. They also have a 30 day calendar of activities to do. They had jazz night with a sax player with 4-5 background people accompanying him. They also had a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Walker. Everyone seemed to be really involved. Overall, this is a great community with very attentive staff. They also allow the tenants to keep pets: dogs, cats, birds, etc. Of course it would cost extra and they have weight restrictions with the dogs.

So far everything has been great. They have answered every question with honest answers, very friendly lots of activities for mom and family special outing for mom. Every time I go there they greet you with a good morning and her room a the whole facility is clean. I would recommend morning star to anyone in need. Also the food is very good.
