Residential care homes in Philadelphia may appeal to seniors who value smaller, more close-knit communities and many opportunities for socialization. Philadelphia care homes typically take in fewer residents, meaning older adults know each resident in the home and develop strong friendships.
Older-adult care homes vary more than other options for senior living in Philadelphia, so families can choose from a wide range of prices, amenities, and services. A Place for Mom will work with you to understand the cost of care homes. From there, we’ll help you find the right fit, whether you’re staying on a budget or searching for luxury retirement communities.
We are also serving Residential Care Home facilities in surrounding neighborhoods like Mayfair, Haddington and Northern Liberties.
You may also consider nearby communities such as Audubon, Bala Cynwyd or Bellmawr.
Residential Care Home
I was looking for a place that could help with my loved one's care needs, and I think he is getting good care here. I like the building itself, and the location is wonderful. He enjoys the outdoors and nature, and the facility provides that very well for him. It's clean. I like the fact that I'm able to have conversations with the staff, and they provide me with good answers. The staff are very responsive, respectful, and genuinely helpful. They go out of their way to help whenever they can. I think that they're paying attention to my loved one and his needs, and they do a good job. Whoever is in the kitchen is doing a good job with the food as well, and my loved one is lucky to have that provided to him. It's certainly a worthwhile place to take a look at.

Read morePenn House has a number of positive aspects. The location is ideal and is in a quiet neighborhood in town, the facility is small which allows for a much different experience, and there are beautiful gardens and walking paths for the residents to enjoy which is unusual being in an urban environment. The staff are so personable, with a nice and warm feeling, which makes me feel confident about my mom living there. Another unique feature is that it is a historic building, and at 92, my mom really enjoys that feeling. The building is decorated like a museum which is very pleasing to her and to me. Overall, the food is good and the dining area is warm and inviting like a restaurant.
