The staff here have great communication, they are very informative and have no issues answering our questions. The billing is very straight forward, everything is very clear and upfront. Our loved one is very happy with the food and the layout of the building. She has a spacious one bedroom apartment, and has house keeping come to help with the laundry. There are also a ton of activities for the residents to do.

The staff members just bend over backwards making our loved one feel welcomed all the time, and she now has some new friends she eats with in the dining hall. Staff members have come and gone during her time there; but she always had positive things to say to me about their efforts to make life pleasant for residents. Their kindness reminded me in some way of the dedication my mother found in the kitchen staff who, in recent months, delivered meals to individual apartments on a daily basis. While I wish that my mother could have resided at First Colonial Inn many more months and years, I take comfort in knowing that she enjoyed an independent lifestyle while having the benefits of a caring staff.
