...I was looking for a place for my uncle. I was referred to Asbury from his doctor. [Name removed] called me right away after I left a message there and met with me that evening. My wife and I took a tour of the place and decided on it right away. [Name removed] and the team there were very helpful and made this whole process very easy.

My loved one was welcomed into the community very sweetly. She did not want to be there at all and did not want to move. But they took her by the hand and got her comfortable. And by the next day when I came in to visit her, she already had three friends and was doing great. I've had some concerns about the medical care. She had a urinary tract infection for several weeks. Even after I told them she was exhibiting symptoms, notes didn't get written down and passed on to the right people, so I had to keep following up on it to get it resolved. But it's a good place overall.

A case of “ you can’t judge a book by its cover.” The area is on a culdesac close to a busy retail area. The Supportive facility ‘s exterior (housed in the historic old Goldblatt building) is unremarkable. However the interior is lovely and ADA compliant . Everything was beautiful and the only area I felt needed Developement was the rooftop area where I’d wanted to see more greenery since there isn’t an outdoor garden. That said, my standard for not putting my parents anywhere I wouldn’t live were met. [Name removed] the Director of Marketing was excellent, residents know and chat with her. I saw a diverse population of residents playing cards. I also encountered a couple of women who provide wellness programs exiting that had good things to say. My ONLY concern is how long my mom could stay there given her memory issues. My sister and I acknowledge that one day her needs may have them live apart.

We toured with Ravenswood and it was not as large as some of the others we saw. It was a brand new facility and we were expecting it to be fresh and it did look new, but it just felt sterile to us. A lot of whites and greys and we just did not get that warm feeling that we were looking for. Also the parking here was very difficult which is something to think about if you will be visiting/have a lot of visitors.

There's nothing attractive outside. The reception and common areas were nice and newly decorated. Was not impressed with the resident's apartments. Updating need to be done and apt. was small. A fresh coat of paint would've been nice.

wonderful job at the lobby and open area. The rooms were dark and outdated. The administrator was friendly during the tour.

We were not impressed with River Valley Supportive Living. The community seemed to be quite with residents in their rooms. They did not offer specific memory care for their residents. It is a safe community everyone that comes in has to be let in but the anyone can walk out without being buzzed out. That made us nervous with our loved one possibly leaving without anyone knowing.

This place was not at all like they advertise it to be. Consider all other options before moving a loved one in here. I feel as though the staff is not there for the residents. It is not clean. Main meal is served at lunch, dinner is a sandwich. Difficult to get shower assistance if your loved one needs it. I am very disappointed.
