This facility is excellent! It's new and very nice. The staff is wonderful. They are a bit short staffed, but that's everywhere right now. The food is good quality and they have a good variety. They do housekeeping often and do a great job. They also do laundry once a week or more often, if needed. Communication with the family could improve. I have to initiate most of it. I have no problem getting answers, but no one reaches out to me unless I've called them or asked them first. There's a huge variety of activities. I would recommend them to family and friends.... I toured Belmont Village and the tour was very nice, I thought they were very helpful. We were really looking for something more temporary because ultimately we wanted to move my mom to where my dad ended up, but we didn't know where he would be. Belmont Village was very nice, but very expensive. It would be a lot more heavier of a lift to get my mom moved in, which would mean harder to get her out as well, in terms of furniture, etc.. The community we chose made it very easy with having furniture already there. They also had a respite care way of looking at things and so did Belmont, but I didn't ever see their memory care area because my mom presents as someone who doesn't need memory care. So, I didn't feel I understood their memory care. They were kind of pushing more for assisted living for my mom and that wouldnt have been a good fit. The community we chose really understood and it was the first place we saw, so I was judging everything against them. The place we chose was also less expensive because they had a deal going on.

Response from Belmont Village Lincoln Park
November 29, 2022Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and share your experience. We’re glad you enjoy our community and our staff along with the delicious food our culinary team provides. We understand that communication with families is vital part in providing the best care for our residents. Please know we have shared your concern with the team so that they can take steps to make improvements in that area.
The decision to move our mom into Memory Care was very difficult, but the staff at Belmont Village held our hand at every step. Mom is safer, well cared for, and, in fact, more engaged, since moving in. We are welcome to visit at any time, and we do! The personal assistants are just GEMS! They provide such respectful, compassionate care. Any concerns we have had have been promptly addressed.

Response from Belmont Village Lincoln Park
April 26, 2022We’re glad to hear your family’s experience with Belmont Village has been so positive. Placing a loved one in memory care is one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make, and we’re so happy to hear your mom is more engaged. We’re delighted to have her as one of our residents.
I would not send anyone you care about at all to this place. Specifically memory care. The administration, the staff, the caregivers everyone is horrendous. My husband was not cared for correctly and he was left for unsupervised. One day I had to go around and cut everyone's food due to no one being there and taking care of the residents. I had to move my loved one to another community. It was always hard to get a hold of management and there was no response or open communication. They have some special test that they are supposed to do with the residents and my husband did not have this. They also kept him in a chair instead of on his walker and now he is struggling with walking.

Response from Belmont Village Lincoln Park
April 26, 2022We’re sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your husband’s experience at Belmont Village. Please know your feedback is not taken lightly, and we’ve shared your comments with the appropriate parties. We’re committed to providing the best level of care possible to all our residents and appreciate you sharing feedback with us.
The staff at Belmont have been great to work with! We have a family member who is resistant to change and unwilling to take the necessary steps. Belmont has been super helpful with the transition. I've been by once a week for the past 5 weeks and each time the interaction with staff & LPNs has been great. Their observations show me they are taking the time to learn about their new resident and provide comfort and care. The activity coordinators stop by to let their residents know when there are gatherings which help provide structure and socialization.

My mom moved into BVLP [dates removed] after being in the hospital. The staff at Belmont Village, Lincoln Park is outstanding. This is a difficult decision for a lot of families but the staff was and has been extremely understanding and knew exactly what to do. The transition/move in could not have gone better. I know my mother is in good hands. It's a relief to have found such a wonderful facility.

This community was nice but there was just another community that made more sense. This community was also a little more expensive than what we were looking for for my loved one.
Response from Belmont Village Lincoln Park
April 1, 2022We appreciate you considering Belmont Village Lincoln Park. We understand the importance of finding the right fit and we’re glad you found a community that made the most sense for your loved one.
Our dad recently moved to Belmont Village and so far everything has been great! [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and the entire staff were extremely helpful during what is inevitably a stressful transition process. The community of people is lovely, and they have a great sports lounge on the top floor where my brother and I watched the Bears game with our dad yesterday, along with a bunch of other residents. I feel very fortunate that my dad lives in a place like this.

My mom previously stayed at another facility. She was at 3 different locations at the facility due to several family moves. I am also a medical social worker and have received feedback from numerous patients. Belmont Village - Lincoln Park location is heads and shoulders above the rest. Their accommodations, security and parking are all very modern and so much easier to work with than other facilities, even during the pandemic. The facility looks beautiful and airy. But more importantly the staff are all very eager to please and assist however they can. This alone makes all the difference. There are excellent physical therapy providers, a delicious cafe that serves family/friends, hair dresser and theatre all on site. The nurses, when needed, have been very good, providing superior care. Also, other facilities talk about programming being offered but I rarely saw it happen. At Belmont Village, I see activities going on all the time.

Belmont Village is a premier organization offering assisted living and memory care residences. BV Lincoln Park is well-run, a place where the staff truly works to make every resident’s day as meaningful and successful as can be. Here are the precise sentiments of our Loved One with Dementia: “Everyone here is so kind.” “They (the staff) are very, very nice.” “She (assisting staff) is so gentle.” We hear remarks like this every week. Please reach out to the Community Relations Director if you are looking for a place with high professional standards of care, excellent communication, and a demonstrated caring, kind and respectful environment.

We recently moved our mom into Belmont Village and have had a great experience so far. It was an urgent move, and the whole team went above and beyond to make it happen and provide a smooth transition for her. She loves the staff and residents and couldn't be happier with her new life. Our family can rest easy knowing our mom is at Belmont Village.

Finding a senior living home for my mom with dementia was one of the most stressful things I've ever had to do but the folks Belmont Village were so kind and patient with all my questions. This place is so great for her. They really go out of their way to give their residents as much independence as possible while keeping them safe and engaged. My mom was a very active and social woman and as she lost abilities it was so sad to see her with nothing to do every day but now that she is at Belmont Village her days are once again full of activity and socializing. This place is a gem!

I like that they reach out to out of state families to keep us updated regarding our loved ones. I also like the monthly family meetings they have to keep us updated on any changes such as visiting hours, etc.

My close friend moved here recently and I just talked with her a little bit ago. She is just so happy! She said the staff is so kind and the men are so smart (other residents) and she's hardly ever in her room because she is so busy! She said she should have moved there a long time ago. Just thought you would like to know. Thanks so much for your help in making this transition for her. It just warms my heart to hear how happy she is.

?We recently moved my mother to Belmont Village. She had been living with us. Decisions like this are always difficult. Our situation was made even more challenging by the pandemic. The Belmont Village staff has been extraordinary in every way, both before and after my mother’s move. Immediately prior to the move, my mother was in a physical rehab facility. The Belmont Village staff worked closely with the rehab facility to facilitate everything for us. At the same time, the Belmont staff provided me with the comfort and assurances I needed that everything was going to be OK. Since my mother’s arrival, I could not be more pleased with the care she has received and with all of the calls, pictures, and videos we have gotten from the staff, giving us confidence in the high quality of her care. Like many, we are looking forward to a time when the current COVID 19 restrictions will be lifted. In the meantime, we are extremely grateful of the wonderful care my mother is receiving.

We had to move Mom into a Memory Care/Assisted Living home quickly after she recovered from emergency surgery. We had a few days to make a decision and to orchestrate the move. We were/are very impressed with the quality of the facility, the anticipated quality of care, and most of all, with the understanding and assistance of the admissions personnel. When had to make the move for Mom, our mind was well made up. The admission process could not have been made easier by the head of Community Relations. She expertly walked us through the process, kept us apprised on a daily basis, arranged numerous Zoom calls, and walked us through the paper work and financial arrangements. Everything advertised was done expertly with care, precision, and concern. Once Mom moved, her entrance was done expertly. We have ultimate confidence in the staff at BVLP and are very pleased that Mom is there. She is settling in nicely and loves her new home.

Our experience with Belmont Village, and especially the director of community relations, has been extraordinary from first inquiry until move in. This is rarely a straight line as moving your elderly parent takes a lot of planning and consideration, especially in the time of covid19. They exceeded every expectation and over-delivered on every promise. The staff are professional, caring, thoughtful, kind, attentive, knowledgeable and all with a very personal touch. We got to know them through personalized videos, long before my mom arrived and given the significant complications of moving during a pandemic when her four children were spread all over the country, Belmont Village stepped in and took care of every detail. She was greeted with flowers, a ‘welcome home sign’ and their therapy dog, which for an animal lover was an immediate comfort. The building, apartments and common spaces are just beautiful, but the staff is over-the-top fantastic!

Our very independent but stubborn dad needed to rehab from a recent hospital stay (too many stairs at the house) and The Belmont is in our neighborhood so it was an easy decision. We've all found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and dedicated to the residents and their wellbeing. Dad says the food is fantastic and his conversations with staff and residents have been interesting and stimulating. The staff take the virus very seriously and have established dedicated practices to make sure everyone stays safe. Dad gets healthy food, great socialization, physical therapy and check-ins from the nursing staff - they've made him feel quite at home.
