I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. I also recommend you make sure the community will be able to meet your care expectations for your loved one. There are three meals a day served to the residents and they have choices to choose from. The staff will bring meals to our loved one's room if they ask for it. There is a place in the dining room for the family to join our loved one for meals. It was a very clean community. The staff was extremely, friendly and helpful in the beggining but these have changed. My loved one was there a short period of time. There was a time, in which they were not able to take care of my loved one, and provide the care/attention that they needed.

Brookdale did not meet our families expectations - we would not recommend this community to anybody. We felt the director never excepted accountability for the issues and concerns that were brought her way. Our loved one chose to eat the meals in their room and did not like going down to the dining hall, so at that point they just basically left him in his room and treated him like he wasn't there. When they could deliver the food it would come without utensils, so by the time the staff would bring back utensils the food was cold. They would not clean the room unless we asked them to. When our loved one would push the button for assistance the staff would come and help him into his wheelchair but then never really provide assistance beyond that.

I have spoken highly of this community. I feel like due to covid they still have some procedures to follow, however without covid I feel like this community would be even better. I have met a few staff members and the ones I have met seem friendly and attentive to my loved ones needs. They sometimes take a while to respond the the literary response.

We had a great tour with Brookdale. The facility looked very nice. It is large and they seemed to offer a lot of services and levels of care.
My father is being evicted because they cannot keep him from getting out of memory care. Isn't that one of the main functions of memory care?

They are doing a pretty good job especially under the hard circumstances and I think that they deserve high marks. They have a mindset to do a good job and it really carries through, that is impressive to me.

Nice and friendly although they are short staffed, with that medication does not come on time and that's a big deal, the food is pretty repetitive and could be a little better.

I had the opportunity to visit this community a few weeks ago. [Name removed] was kind enough to show me around. I have visited over 100 communities in my career so I know a good one when I see it. Everyone (staff and residents) knew everyone's name. Both staff and residents were smiling and having a great time. While I did not have the opportunity to sample the food, two residents said it very good and the menu had plenty of choices. I highly recommend you make the community one of your stops if you are looking in Phoenix or Scottsdale for senior living!

Brookdale is an A+. Everyone is so friendly and so helpful. I'm glad I've moved here.
We toured during Covid, which made it difficult no matter where you went. This one was not far from us, but it was older, and very expensive. It had memory care, which was nice if you need that transition down the road. On the tour, they were very accommodating. They let us come in and did some video Facetime of the rooms. They did the best they could under the circumstances.
This community is a really good community, they have really good communication and they are very responsive. The rooms are a nice size, but the food could be better and more accommodating to special diets but it's better than most. I would definitely recommend this community.

Brookdale feels like one big family, especially between residents and staff. Numerous employees have been working at this location for over 10 years so they really get to know the residents. I found the care and compassion of their staff was above and beyond. I highly recommend Brookdale.

The employees were very nice and seemed to like their job. The new memory unit was a little small, and the ceiling wasn't very high. Maybe 7 feet high. The renovation was beautiful done. Unfortunately for me, It lacked that warm comfortable feeling.
