Brookdale Spring Shadows

We picked this community because, we liked the overall feel of the community. It did not have a cold industrial feel and the staff was friendly. It was kept very clean.

There have been several incidents where injuries occurred without explanation as to how or what happened. Sometimes personal hygiene and cleanliness of wheelchairs and surroundings seem neglected. The staff is always caring but it seems like weekends are when the least attention is given to residents.

My dad is living his best life since moving into Brookdale Spring Shadows. He used to sit at home all alone and watch TV. Now he has 3 hot meals a day and sits at a cozy diner table to talk and laugh with friends and the sweet staff. The staff there is very kind and loving. They do not just take care of the resident's physical needs. They also care about them like family and treat them with kindness and respect. The staff makes an extra effort to connect to the residents and show genuine interest in their lives and their families. There are opportunities to leave and go out in the community to fun trips and eat out at restaurants or see movies. This is a great place for your family member to be taken care of with very high standards.

My mother started in Assisted living for 4 years and for the past year in memory care. My sister and I care for her and we have been very happy with the care givers. They are very caring and keep us informed of any changes in mother’s care. They truly care about the residents. We would recommend this facility.

When I moved my mother to Brookdale she had been in and out of the hospital simply because she could no longer take care of herself. She was not eating properly or taking her medication correctly. At Brookdale she thrived. They take great care of her and she enjoys being part of the community. During the pandemic, I was scared I would lose her but they enacted strict protocols and kept their community safe. I highly recommend Brookdale Spring Shadows.

We like it because of the location and we are all close by. I would recommend it.

I would tell others that if your parents are in need of assisted living, look into Brookdale, they are amazing! I have already recommend people to go to the community. My mom is happy here, and enjoys the food and other residents.

We were pleased with this facility, and the community was very clean. Our loved one said that the food was alright, and the rooms were nice. We would recommend this community depending on how active the individual is. .

This isn't the worst place in the world, but there is vast room for improvement which doesn't even need to cost much. Cleanliness: The rooms are kept reasonably clean, but my mother has been given dirty utensils at meals and she witnessed a worker touching her food with her bare fingers. Gross! Friendliness: If you pass a worker in the hallway or outside, most of them will make sure to ignore you. Even the receptionist will find a reason not to look up and say Hello. Value: Way too expensive for what she is getting. Care services: Response time to pressing the button is sometimes hours, never the two minutes they tell you before you sign the lease. We are going to get her another button and pay for it separately in case she really needs help and can't wait two hours. Activities: They don't look too stimulating or interesting based on the schedule I see posted. My mom does not participate. Food: This wasn't a category, but it should be. The food is horrible. Fatty, greasy, fried, salty, not nutritious, not aoppealing. Sometimes the meat is so dry it can't even be swallowed safely.

The tour was nice but to me the facility seemed liked it was dark. I did not see a lot of natural light and it felt dismal. For the age group that was living there, I am sure they are use to the outdated look. We wanted to make sure we did not have any guilt, second thoughts or worries. The pricing was reasonable but overall we felt this was not the best fit.

I can not say enough great things about this place and everything they have done for my mother. I am very comfortable with the care they have provided her and would highly recommend it to anyone. Every time I come by there is always a staff member engaged with her and making sure she is comfortable. She feels safe and looks content in her living environment and that is all I could ask for. Overall wonderful atmosphere.

My brother is happy here. The community is nice and clean and well taken care of. My brother has a device that he can wear in case he falls or injured. The staff is very friendly and the staff has been there for a long time. We have had lunch with my brother and the food was wonderful.

It was a good tour when visiting the community. My guide was informative about the community. From what it looked it was clean and there is good interaction with the residents. It is a very nice place but I didn't feel it was the right place.

The Brookdale Spring Shadows is a beautiful community. It is very well kept and updated throughout. It was very clean when we visited. The staff that offered the tour were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of my questions and concerns.

We are very pleased and can relax knowing mom is getting the care that she needs. We feel blessed to have found this place and I highly recommend them.

I think they do a good job overall at Brookdale Spring Shadows. Every time I have visited the staff have seemed friendly and caring, and the facility itself is well kept and clean. The food has always looked pretty good, and they seem to have a good variety of amenities and activities they offer the residents!

Our experience with Brookdale Spring Shadows has not been a good one. They have a lot of problems across the board. They miss a lot of details when it comes to the cleanliness, the glass on the windows and doors always looks dirty and they're not very thorough when it comes to cleaning the individual rooms, either. One of my biggest issues is with the food. Their meal service needs an overhaul, from the staff to the food itself. The kitchen staff is unprofessional, and any time I have seen the cook he is wearing inappropriate clothing and not wearing a hair net. The food is poor quality, mass produced, and reheated. I've spoken with quite a few of the residents and none of them are happy with the food, the long term residents said it has really been going downhill.
