We chose The Gables at Spring Lake because of their staff. We think it's a great value, the staff are wonderful, and they were voted the best Assisted Living in Shreveport for two years in a row. We're really happy we found them, as they weren't on our original list. Our loved ones apartment is very nice and spacious. It's a one bedroom with a full sized kitchen and a really nice living area. Our family had an in person tour and The Gables is a beautiful facility and the gentlemen who gave us the tour was very pleasant. However it did not give us that overwhelming feel that this was the correct place, we did not see a lot of activity or interaction going on
I toured many assisted living places since I was diagnosed in Mayo Clinic on [date removed] with Parkinson's. I got busy checking the assisted living facilities and when I toured the facility again and met some of the residents - the Lord let me know that this was the place for me. And it still is.
[Name removed] and his staff were wonderful, awesome. My mom was there for only a short time because she had a change in her health and needed more care than they could provide. They helped us with the transition getting her to nursing home and were so good in helping Mom. Would highly recommend The Gables to anyone looking for assisted living.
My mother-in-law was in this facility, briefly, before determining she needed move care than Asssisted Living. Every person I had contact with during this time were very friendly, helpful, and provided excellent care. [Name removed] went beyond expectation to help the move to and from this facility.
Love atmosphere and want more veg at supper. Love the apt.

This is a great place to live. Everyone is good people. They don't mad by show me how to do things and help me with it. Make sure I do everything right. They come and check on me ask can strengthen for me. You can't ask for a better place to stay.

Very clean just remodeled wonderful kind workers from bottom to top happy place. Full kitchen variety of activities.
The atmosphere is like a family. Feels safe. Generally clean. The food is bland. Way too much salt. too much starch.
The staff are excellent. They help when needed. We have a variety of food. We have activities planned for each day. We have Bible studies. The residents are very friendly with each other. My husband and I have lived here 15 months and do not regret making the move.
Have been here 3 years. Like the smallness of the facility. We are close knit group of people. We enjoy each others company. We do activities and have alot of fun. It's a good 1/2 being with people after being alone for 25 years.

Its with all huge institutions , there are those few that it makes the training on time a long with the few who would benefit from counseling on their of performance and behavior.
