Our family has liked everything so far with The Village of Meyerland. Many different activities (which we are encouraging her to get more inovlved in hoping she will meet new friends) Everyone from top to bottom seems to be very friendly, caring and compassionate towards her and all residents. Can't say enough good things about them, they really seem to care for everyone whom is staying there. Great place for your loved ones to live and have chance to meet many new people and friends.

The billing is very confusing; however, the director is working on getting it straightened out to help get this resolved. The staff are very friendly. Jackie is awesome at the front desk! They have a great cleanliness. The staff are really good about putting caution signs up when necessary. The community has a la carte menu and a regular menu to provide variety of food options for the residents. It would be nice to see a day trip to allow the residents to gamble, or go to the museums. They have a good selection of exercises classes at different times available.

Would not recommend for memory care. I saw a lot of places that are newer and in better physical shape. I feel like they could be more competitive with their pricing.

I would recommend this community. This is a excellent facility. It is very easy to get to and very upscale. Just overall nice, there is a nice religious diversity in the community and there is service for each religion. The dining room is first class.

Our family had an in person tour experience and the sales and marketing team were great, they really made us feel like this was going to be the community for our loved one. Unfortunately it was in the rain and we aren't sure if this was the cause of it, but the community just felt gloomy and not very uplifting. We did not see very many residents moving around and interacting with each other.
My 92 year old Mom has been at Village Meyerland for a week. I did an exhaustive search before placing her. So far my very high expectations have been exceeded. Every aspect of care is first rate. Mom has dementia snd many health issues. Yet I sleep well at night knowing how well she is cared for. And the facility is immaculate.

The sales team was great when we were touring the community, and when it was time to move in our loved one had a lot of questions and concerns. The director got involved and answered every concern, he was very kind, patient and just terrific. Our loved one is not the biggest fan of the meals, but when it comes to the activities there is lots to do. They have a great wide variety of things the residents can participate in.

I chose this community because of the convenience and it is close to my house. The meal plans were tasty and presented really well. The dining staff were sensitive to resident requests. The staff were great and worked with our family. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families. My experience was great.

We chose this community because we thought it was what she needed but it was too much care for would she actually needed at her stage of memory loss. My mother had a cold, the doctor prescribed medications, and they took three days to fill them which resulted in my mother being hospitalized for pneumonia. I was happy with them otherwise and the caregivers were very kind , nice, and spent time with my mother. The food was fine.

Never have I seen a facility with as many happy and smiling people. The building itself is gorgeous. The amenities are outstanding. The only drawback for us was the price. We do not have the budget to sustain my MIL for a lengthy time in this facility. Was perfect for us, only 4 miles away, but budget constraints are frustrating. Have found prices inside the 610 Loop in Houston to be from $4,000-$6,500 a month.

My mom had a rough beginning during her transition to Assisted Living after her stroke. The SNF she was in was horrible, and made the transfer to VOM horrible by not furnishing information to help get my mom situated. [Name removed] was absolutely WONDERFUL getting my mom in and organized, always quick with responses, even on his day off. I can't say enough good things about him! After we got that all sorted out, mom has settled in. The rooms are spacious, she calls it her "apartment". VOM smells clean and well kept, and is always tidy. The decorations are lovely, landscaping always kept up, and mom is proud to tell others that she lives there. She has made some wonderful friends, including some of the staff. Some of the staff are wonderful, kind, loving people who genuinely care about the residents. The concierges that work at the front desk are the loveliest people you could ever meet, every single one of them. Kind and welcoming, and always ready to bend over backwards to solve problems! There is always a sour apple in the barrel, no business has 100% perfect employees. We have had issues with a few of the caregivers not responding quickly enough when my mom needed help, and other times were concerned that they were understaffed, thus causing delays. We feel fairly confident that they are working hard to rectify these issues, and feel heard when we express our concerns. The wonderful caregivers FAR FAR outnumber the not-so-hot!! All in all, we have been exceptionally pleased that we chose VOM to care for my mom, and wouldn't go anywhere else!

The building is new, clean and neat. The staff members caring and friendly. They get busy sometimes and not able to show up as expected time. The lobby has a guest book to sign in but basically everybody can sign in and the ID was not checked. During sign in, the guest needs to fill out the guest name, check in time, resident name and resident room number. The next guest coming in can simply see the resident name and resident room number in the previous rows and copy them in. Not quite sure how much security this process can provide.

They are very organized and nice here. The housekeeping does a good job at keeping it clean. They will do her linens also. The food is good here but limited and no chinese food. She enjoys all the daily activities they offer. If she ever needs something fixed or help they are there right away. I would recommend this community.

This is a very nice facility and my Father-In-Law has adjusted very well. Our family is glad he is here and they accommodated us very quickly. However, I am a little disappointed in their communication. They aren’t very receptive in returning our phone calls or emails. When we looked into this facility it wasn’t made clear to us that he would be in assisted living with extra paid services because there was no available room in the memory care unit. I also do not think we are receiving some of the extra services that we are paying for. We asked for assistance in giving him his showers because he is not able to do it his own. When we look at his body wash, it’s at the same level as a few weeks ago. I’m glad he is here but I wish they had better communication. I would recommend other families to tour their assisted living unit.

The Village was awesome! My Dad was here and they just took care of everything. My step-mom felt like it was too institutional, but for me they took care of all of the needs that needed to be met. The staff was awesome and everyone was just really, really good. He was older in age and didn’t like that some of the nurses were able to show tattoos that they had, but as far as in the quality of work and the professionalism of the staff, it was really good. Everyone really did their job well. Since my Dad was there, they’ve changed directors, and I’m sure the new one is fine but the one that was there really ran a tight ship. The facility was kept very clean. I would absolutely recommend them for others and might even move my mom there.

The Village of Meyerland used to have a pretty bad reputation, but they noticed what was being said about them, and made changes for the better. We love that the community is very close by and that the staff is all very helpful and friendly. They seem to care about their jobs and enjoy being there. The food is good, if basic, the place is clean, and they have activities all the time. They hang the schedules in the elevators and everyone one gets a weekly copy. Overall, we have found The Village to be very satisfactory so far, and we’d recommend it to others.

My dad has recently made the move into this community and so far we are comfortable with the care he has been receiving. He is making the transition and is getting adjusted into his new living environment but he does feel safe which is important. I am pleased with the staff and think they are doing a great job with my dads every day care. The meals have been just fine and he is enjoying his dinning experience with the other residents.
